about
My artistic practice engages with the themes of care, sustainability, and resistance. Among my current projects are the Do-it-Yourself Fashion Workshop (since 2017), participatory storybook reading and story-making sessions (since 2019), and an artistic action research on kindness. With my work often intertwining with Southeast Asian communities, I've also started the mobile, artist-led space Malikhain Community and Art Space. I work primarily in textile and socially engaged art, and my practice is informed by my background in fashion and the social sciences.
Malikhain Community and Art Space is a mobile, artist-led space that I have founded. It had its first gathering through the Threatened Species Exhibition in February 2023. In the same year, we held a DIY Fashion Workshop session in Tagaytay City, Philippines. In 2024, we participated in the 25th anniversary celebration of UNIDEE Residency Programs in Italy, which included talks and activities centered on socially engaged art. In 2025, we are set to hold another DIY Fashion Workshop session in Bandung, Indonesia.
